Bleach Art
Bleach art is an affordable, accessible technique you can use to create one-of-a-kind designs on textiles and garments. Instead of adding color to fabric with paint or dye, color is lifted or removed with bleach. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Scrap fabric will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring any clothing or fabric from home to experiment with. (Bleach painting works best on darker fabrics made of primarily natural fibers such as cotton, linen, or rayon.) Additionally, participants are urged to wear an apron and/or clothing they won't mind possibly getting some bleach on.
