Introduction to 3D Printing
[ESPAÑOL DESPUES DEL INGLES] In this class, we are going to go over the basic technology and concepts behind 3D printing, including the types of printers, brands, and filaments, as well as some of its use cases. We will learn about the printer we have in the studio, the Bambu X1S, and its capabilities. Following this, we will learn about where to find print resources on the internet to print out, and end by creating our own 3D-printed topographical map. (Laptops are encouraged, but not required.) Note that the maps will complete following the class and will require picking up at a later time during open hours. === En esta clase, repasaremos la tecnología y los conceptos básicos de la impresión 3D, incluyendo los tipos de impresoras, las marcas, y los filamentos. Mas, exploraremos las diversas aplicaciones de la impresión 3D, así como el modelo específicamente que tenemos en el estudio -- el Bambu X1S -- y su capacidades. Siguiente, aprenderemos donde encontrar modelos para imprimir en línea, y terminaremos creando un mapa mediante la impresión 3D. Se recomienda traer una computadora portátil, pero no es obligatorio. Nota: los mapas se terminarán después del clase y se requiere colectar a un tiempo más tarde durante las horas abiertas. La clase no se enseñará en Espanol, pero yo tratara porque todavía lo estoy aprendiendo.
