Facilities
Overview
The facilities working group is responsible for maintaining the interior space and the surrounding outdoor areas. This includes cleaning on an established schedule as well maintenance tasks including: storage lifts, shelving, lighting, floors, door entry system, plumbing (sinks, bathroom, water filter, roof drainage), mechanical room (HVAC, water heater), utilities (internet, water, trash, electricity), interior and exterior paint, water filters and trash bins. The working group will also plan and execute improvement projects such as:
- Finishing the brick painting of the exterior
- Creating a Brown Street Maker Cooperative sign
- Adding a safety cage for the lift system
- Installing custom shelves
- Purchasing storage containers and other organization systems
- Building a trash corral
